Butter Jade is also known as African Jade or Butterstone.
It is not however Jade. It is an over 2.5 billion year old mineral specimen from South Africa which is known to contain micro fossil evidence of the first life on earth.

There is 10 lb's of Butter Jade per carton. Each specimen of about 2.5"X 2.5"X 1.5", is similar to those shown in the picture, and is individually packaged with an insert giving full details of the background and history.
